Fashion Week Faves | AW '15

Autumn / Winter '15 Fashion Weeks have finally come to a close and although I'm running a tad behind schedule, I had to comment on my fave celeb looks over the past couple weeks. Autumn and Winter hold my favorite months of the year so, I was so excited to see what was trending-- and yes those bell bottoms from last season are still on trend. Never the less, I noticed some pretty awesome patterns popping up all over the runway and the streets, but it was the celebs' interpretation of the looks that caught my eye the most. Let's have a look at some of my faves!

So, it has become apparent to me that the late 60's looks are in and I'm more than obsessed!! I've been filling my wardrobe with bell bottoms and wide legged pants, similar to those seen on our girl Chloe Moretz above and I'm digging it! This look by Louis Vuitton is the perfect fall outfit, whether it be for your latest internship or a day spent in the city. These printed pants are even great for the upcoming spring as they're light and airy plus the floral design adds a nice touch to the season.

Selena Gomez was also caught sporting the printed patterns trend along with a really sick leather coat. These prints are definitely inspired by the psychedelic era and when paired with the right accessories like the coat or black booties, a dress like Selena's can be rocked perfectly this fall. Again the print shown in the dress would even look great this spring, perhaps paired with your favorite wedges!

One things for sure is that I love me some CaKe. CaKe as in Cara Delevigne and Kendall Jenner. Smear a little Karl Lagerfeld in the middle and I have fallen in love with a photo. Chanel is my weakness and though I couldn't see myself wearing the looks seen above, I can definitely draw some inspiration from it and that would be the leather. TBH, it's Karl's look that I actually wouldn't even mind rocking myself-- tailored to me, of course.

Sticking with Miss Delevigne, I just have to say this one thing; I NEED THIS OUTFIT. Omg, I could never pull this look off at all, but I just need it. It would figure it's one of my faves as it's Burberry, which is one of my fave shows at Fashion Week. This look has got my colors (burgundy & teal), it's got the thigh highs, and of course a leather jacket. This is my all time favorite AWFW look. I just need it.

I couldn't finish this post without touching on a very important part of Fashion Week. I really want to know how Kanye got through AWFW by wearing a hoodie and jeans. I'm sorry, I wear this look to the grocery store and get nasty looks from the 60 year old man down aisle 3, yet Kanye West gets away with this AT FASHION WEEK. Let it go, Sam. Let it go. He still looks cool though. Oh, and Kim's hair looks fierce as hell. That is all.

What I've Learned From AWFW '15
Leather Jackets with wool are in.
Bell bottoms are in.
Late 60's chic is in.
Kanye West in a sweatshirt at AWFW is socially acceptable.
Kim's blonde hair is in.

What are your favorite looks from Fashion Week?

Life Update II: Spring Break, Traveling, and Pain Killers?

My apologies for not posting merely all week. I've had a ton of plans for my Spring Break last week, but of course none of those worked out. I had filmed while on vacation more than once, but it was nothing I felt worthy of blogging. None the less I will have a new travel video up very soon (hopefully this weekend). That being said I figured I would just update you all on what's happened in this last week!

Spring Break
My Spring Break started early last week (March 5) as we had a snow day so, of course I took the opportunity to pack for I would have to travel the next day. Since my parents now live in Florida (and thats where I'm originally from), I decided to go down there for a nice sun filled Spring Break. Thats when I also started noticing a pain in my back, but of course I ignored it. I was finally getting that semi-dream Spring Break every college kid hopes for.

Traveling
March 6 I headed to JFK (vlog camera in hand) to catch my 9:49 AM flight to Tampa, FL. It would figure I had a 2 hour delay as we had snow the night before, but all was well as I eventually made it to Florida. First thing I did once I got there, you ask? I went to Chick- Fil- A, home of my favorite fast food in the world. If you live anywhere south of NY on the East Coast you would know what I'm talking about. As I mentioned before I brought the vlog camera on all my adventures to and during Florida so expect a video very soon!

Pain Killers
This is the bad part of my week. So remember that pain in my back from before Spring Break? Well it got increasingly worse throughout my time in FL. Turns out it was something much worse than I thought was just a muscle pain. It does require some surgery which I won't have until my next trip to FL in May, but until then I've had and will have a few doctors appointments to aid whatever it is that is happening in my back and this "aid" includes pain killers. This all of course is another reason why I haven't blogged too much and created the content I want shown on my blog. It has all been very stressful, but I'm working on getting better. And don't fret as it's nothing too serious, I just thought I would inform you of a major set back in my week. No pun intended.

So that has basically been my week in a blog post. I am back in NY now (and have been since Thursday night) and I have a few plans for the blog and YouTube Channel coming up very soon. I'm so excited for the next few months to come. So far this has been a great year and it's only going to get better, even with my back issues. I'm feeling very lucky and can't believe the life I'm living right now. I can't wait to see what else is in store for me and I hope to share it with you all along the way!

What have you all been up to lately?

Travel Playlist | SPRING BREAK

As of yesterday I am officially on Spring Break which means that I am currently home in Florida! Now for those of you who don't know, I technically live in New York as I've lived there for about 5 years now. My parents have moved to Florida with my brother and according to them I live there also, but I really only live there 4 weeks out of the entire year. Anyways long story short, I had a 3 hour flight yesterday to the sunshine state for spring break (and 2 hour delay), so I had to keep my self occupied with some good tunes. Here's some of what was on my playlist!

The Weeknd- Earned It
Ellie Goulding- Love Me Like You Do
Big Sean- Guap
Angus and Julia Stone- Big Jet Plane (remix)
Vance Joy- Riptide
Walk The Moon- Shut Up and Dance
Drake- If You're Reading This Than Its Too Late (album)
Nicki Minaj- Feeling Myself
Iggy Azalea- New Chick
Calvin Harris- Outside
Zedd/Selena Gomez- I Want You To Know
Karmin/Watsky- No Flex Zone

So yeah, this is kind of a weird compilation. Of course there was more than this, I just listened to these a lot. I wear Beats on the plane and these songs sound pretty cool in them. It's part of the reason why I listen to them in the first place. Let me know what you think of the songs!

What do you all listen to when traveling?

#ICantEven

It just so happens that the title of the new Neighbourhood song makes for a very fitting blog post title. The Neighbourhood recently released the video for their track "#icanteven" ft. French Montana off their new mixtape "#000000 & #FFFFFF". The video dropped on February 14 just in time for Valentine's day and Fifty Shades Of Grey and quite honestly I CAN'T EVEN. I'm just completely 100% unable to even. Not only is lead singer Jesse Rutherford's voice super sexy (as per usual), but the video itself looks like the foreplay to the entire movie of Fifty Shades.

Even French Montana's short verse adds the perfect touch to the song. He keeps to the sensual vibes of the music and video and tastefully makes reference to his hit "Don't Panic".  The video is filled with cigarette (I think...) smoke and though I'm not a smoker and it's usually not that appealing, they've somehow made it the most attractive thing ever. Oh and BTW the video girl's eye makeup is on fleek the entire video.

So yes, I love the video, but more importantly I love the song and #icanteven deal with how sexy the Neighbourhood is. They went from "Sweater Whether" to this in like 2-3 years and I'm utterly impressed. I've always been a fan, but I'm so in love with how Rutherford is experimenting with his music these days and cannot wait for the mixtape to drop. This might be The Neighbourhood's coolest move ever.

Check out the video and let me know what you think!
